C1750-80 percussion curly maple stocked fowler. 33" barrel of about 16 gauge. Percussion lock replaced the original flint lock at the time of conversion. Barrel marked "LONDON" and proofed with British proofs. Nice teardrop shaped front sight. Metal parts show medium to dark patina overall with a little light pitting in the bolster area. Nicely grained curly maple stock shows average use overall and is considerably wider in the forearm than usually observed. Was broken in the wrist/barrel tang area and well secured with a couple small wooden pegs and a screw. Hammer has spring tension, but does not cock. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
