Unusual C1820-40 percussion conversion longfowler. Marked on lock "LONDON/WARRANTED" and on "RICHMOND TA" on top of barrel. The most likely explanation for the marking is either Richmond, Tasmania, Australia, which was settled in the 1820s and less likely Richmond, Tasman, New Zealand, which wasn't settled until the 1840s, where the gun may have been exported to from England. 42-1/2" barrel of small bore. Metal parts were partly cleaned at some point, showing some patina, scattered rust, and scattered pitting. Stock is good, appearing to be American curly maple, broken and loose in the lock area. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
