Scarce flintlock M1854 Austrian Lorenz musket. Converted from percussion in Belgium in the second half of the 19th century for the export trade. Marked on barrel "BELGIUM" and ELG proofed. These flintlocks are scarcer than percussion Lorenz muskets, and are rare in this fine condition. Metal parts are free of rust and pitting, showing light to medium patina overall. Stock fine, shows little wear with scattered light handling marks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
