M1822 French percussion rifled musket, shortened to a 2-band "musketoon" length. 29" barrel. Unmarked. Metal parts have an old black paint on them and are virtually free of pitting. Stock is very good, smooth, with an added coat of glossy finish. Name "J.CROWLEY" slightly raised in butt and "J.DeVERY" slightly raised above triggerguard. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
