transitional M1816 Harpers Ferry flintlock musket

Transitional M1795/1816 Harpers Ferry musket. Metal parts are rough with a striated pitting, rear lock marking with 1818 date are visible, only a small part of the eagle is visible, US proof present on barrel. Missing ramrod. Stock is rough, but solid, appearing to have gotten very dry at one point, and has been painted brown. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
