M1808 US contract flintlock musket by Bartlett, Springfield, Mass. Original flintlock with replaced top jaw and screw. Dated 1810 on lock. Metal parts have dark patina with an even light pitting overall. Stock is very good, worn evenly with a pleasing patina and relatively few handling marks. Has a small crack by rear of lock and has a grain crack in the toe of the butt. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
