Whitney M1812 Massachusetts contract musket, reconverted to flintlock

Whitney M1812 Massachusetts contract musket. Reconverted to flintlock using reproduction parts. Well marked on lock, P and MS marked barrel, JN and MS cartouched stock. Barrel has serial number between front barrel band 13904 and A marking on bayonet stud, similar to the Massachusetts Sea Fencibles musket. Metal parts have been cleaned to a light gray,and virtually free of pitting. Stock is very good, free of cracks, showing little use and scattered minor marks overall. Has a small sliver missing to the right of the barrel tang. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
