M1842 Springfield musket dated 1853

M1842 Springfield musket, dated 1853 on lock. Metal parts have dark patina overall with scattered light pitting. Replaced ramrod, barrel screw and ont lock screw, nipple isn't turned in all the way. Stock is good, showing average wear with scattered moderate handling marks, and a small sliver missing from the ramrod channel behind the rear band. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
