M1816 Springfield Type III percussion conversion musket dated 1838

M1816 Springfield Type III musket, percussion conversion. Dated 1838 on lock and barrel. Metal parts have been cleaned and show patches of light to moderate pitting. All markings are present, stock cartouches opposite lock and behind triggerguard are outlined. Stock was probably lightly cleaned and is solid overall with minimal minor marks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
