Early model Allen & Wheelock 22 caliber sidehammer revolver with rear entry cylinder pin. Serial number 716, Flayderman 5A-073. Well marked on barrel, cylinder has superb roll engraved scene, in which each vignette is very visible. Metal parts have attractive brown patina overall with strong traces of original blue, mostly on barrel. Grips retain about 95% original varnish on the left side and 75% on the right side, and are free of cracks and chips. Cylinder pin is replaced. Hammer cocks, but cylinder does not revolve, possibly due to the cylinder stop engaging before the hand can turn the cylinder. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
