Hopkins & Allen XL No. 4 revolver with ivory grips

Hopkins & Allen "XL No4" revolver with ivory/bone grips. Marked on topstrap "HOPKINS & ALLEN MFG.CO./XL. No. 4/PAT.MAR.28.1871 APR.27.1875". Metal parts are medium gray with scattered light pitting. Grips show wear with a couple minor edge slivers. Hammer cocks, and cylinder revolves if turned 1/8" or so by hand, but does not index all the way, preventing it from turning on its on the next time the hammer is cocked. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
