Whitney 32 caliber spur trigger revolver. Serial number 15978. Marked on top of barrel "WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT.U.S.A./PAT.MAY.25.1871". Metal parts have excellent original nickel finish overall with scattered flakes missing and scattered minor rust specks. Cylinder pin is broken off and part of pin latch is missing. Has a small chip in the hammer spur. Wood grips are fine, showing light wear and use, free of cracks and chips. Hammer cocks but cylinder does not revolve. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
