Flintlock mediterranean pistol. Has a distinctively styled sideplate and ramrod ferule common to three pistols we acquired at the same time. Possibly Arabic made as a copy of a European made piece. 20-1/4" overall, 13" barrel of .70 caliber. Metal parts have dark patina overall. Stock is good, showing moderate even wear with a long crack underneath the sideplate which is stable, and a small crack in the forearm tip. Hammer has spring tension, holds at half cock, but does not cock fully, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
