Allen & Wheelock bar hammer double action percussion single shot pistol. Serial number 610. 4" barrel. Marked on hammer "ALLEN'S PATENT" and on barrel flats "PATENTED/1845/CAST-STEEL". Metal parts show a little light pitting with an added blackish blue finish that shows well. Wood grips are fine, free of cracks and chips with some minor handling marks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
