unusually large bore percussion boxlock pistol with damscus barrel and burl grip

fancy percussion boxlock pistol with large bore. Marked with ELG* proof and an old inventory number painted on it including "18.8.39", possibly a European date format of July 18, 1939. Grip lightly stamped "5243/1425". 3-1/2" damascus striped barrel, overall 8" long, bore of about .68 caliber. Metal parts are light gray overall. Grip is an attractive burl grain, with a minor chip on left side by frame. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
