Allen & Thurber, Norwich percussion pepperbox pistol. Flayderman 5A-022. Serial number 100. Marked on hammer "ALLEN'S PATEN[T]" and on barrel rib "PATENTED 1837 CAST STEEL", Norwich mars not present. Metal parts have a light to medium patina overall with minimal scattered pitting. Nice engraving is present on the frame and some roll engraving present on the nipple shield. Wood grips are very good, showing even pleasant wear with a couple minuscule chips by the frame on each side. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
