C1750-70 Queen Anne flintlock belt pistol. Possibly English in origin. Seems to have been made without a forestock or provision for ramrod. 8" barrel of about .62 caliber, about 16" overall. Nicely embellished brass furniture with unusual brass ring at muzzle of barrel. Fine grained stock with attractive carving, and a couple minor chip. Overall, piece shows a moderate amount of wear and use to metal and stock, with there even being a plugged hole in the flashpan from having burned through from use. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
