Whitney 2nd model Navy percussion revolver. Serial number 14708, either 3rd or 4th type. Has a trace of barrel marking present. Barrel shortened to 4" long, rammer shortened accordingly, with nice catch and latch. Metal parts have light patina after having been cleaned at some point. Grips have initials carved on both sides, showing average wear overall with a couple minor corner chips, and a long crack on the left side. Mechanically good, except cylinder does not index properly. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
