Mle 1866-74-80 French Gras rifle. Serial number FH7687 matching, including scarce cleaning rod! Good cartouches and serial number in buttstock, "holy water" plug missing from right side of butt, and shows a scrape below the cartouche. Stock is very good, showing average wear and use, with scattered minor marks, free of cracks and chips. Metal parts are very good, with some strong original blue in the receiver and barrel breech area, transitioning to a rust patina on the barrel, other parts show rust patina. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
