Early M1819 Hall percussion conversion rifle. Excellent breech marking with date of 1826, the first year of "second production" after the very scarce first production of 1824. Stock with correct band retaining springs, not pins. Metal parts are a light gray overall with minimal scattered pitting. Missing rear sight. Stock is very good, showing average wear and use overall, missing a little wood around the back of the frame, a common weak spot on the Hall stock. Buttplate may be an antique replacement as the fit isn't perfect. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
