C1810-25 percussion conversion Kentucky rifle. Marked on lock "J.DANA & CO/WARRANTED". An unlocated J.Dana is listed in Frank Sellers' "American Gunsmiths". Metal parts have mostly medium patina with some minimal scattered pitting, patchbox partly cleaned. Stock very good, patina somewhat disturbed, has a small crack by rear lock screw, and a couple small slivers missing from forearm edges. Missing one barrel key escutcheon and one lock screw. Nipple is replaced. Hammer has spring tension, but does not cock. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
