Unusual C1840-60 "mule ear" full stock Kentucky smooth rifle/fowler. Uses a much earlier 43" fowler barrel which is highly embellished in the first 12" or so near breech. Overall untouched condition with dark patina and a little uncleaned old rust from use in the nipple area. Stock has excellent grain and attractive patina. Cracked in the wrist and well secured with a screw. Missing a small piece of wood in the toe of the butt and at the back of the lockplate. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
