C1800-20 percussion Kentucky smooth rifle. 45-1/2" part octagon, part round barrel of about .65 caliber. Has patchbox with shape of eagle head. Lock and barrel have dark patina overall with scattered minor roughness with some pitting in the breech area. Brass parts have been cleaned. Stock has an attractive lightly striped grain. Has a small bit of well matched woodfiller in the toe of the butt, a small spot on the forearm edge and a small spot by the upper ramrod pipe on left side. Forearm has several cracks that don't show any looseness. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
