M1871 German Mauser single shot rifle, converted by the French at St.Denis arsenal by fitting a new small-bore barrel for sale to Uruguay. Serial number 74770 matching bolt to receiver, but most screws have non matching numbers. Metal parts have a mostly uncleaned patina with blued barrel. Stock is very good, free of cracks and chips with exception of a tiny chip by the buttplate tang, and scattered minor marks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
