German M1871 Mauser rifle, Bavarian marked

German M1871 Mauser rifle. Receiver serial number 87239, bolt is mismatched. Metal parts are clean and crisp, with a light varnished finish preserving most of the surfaces, the barrel showing some light rust patina, and has some rust present on the buttplate. Stock is very good, still showing some proofs in the butt, has some crudely scratched initials in both sides of the butt, and some scattered handling marks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
