C1850 halfstock target rifle marked Goddard on lock. 34-3/4" part octagon part round barrel of about .45 caliber. Has nicely engraved german silver furniture including a very nice patchbox and eagle inlay. Lock and barrel have a medium patina with a light granular pitting in the breech area. Stock is held to barrel with wire and key is missing. Stock is missing a sliver the length of each forearm edge, a small piece above the lock with a loose piece above the lock that was secured back down. Otherwise stock is very good, showing average wear and use. Missing front sight, and appears to have had a provision for a tang rear sight. Mechanically good, does not have half cock, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
