M1870 Springfield USN rolling block rifle. Appears to have been made without sabre bayonet lug, front sight missing, as is cleaning rod, and rear sling swivel. Rear sight is replaced. Metal parts are well marked, including anchor at barrel breech. Metal parts are smooth with medium patina overall. Stock is good, showing moderate wear, has a couple slivers missing which are worn on the edges. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
