M1871 Springfield rolling block rifle. Metal parts are well marked and have dark patina overall, appearing to be free of pitting. Stock is very good, showing some old added finish, with scattered minor dings, and a good cartouche on the left side of wrist. Has some minor chipping in the ramrod channel. Cleaning rod is too short at 27-1/2" long, but displays well in the gun. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
