M1877 Springfield 45-70 rifle. Serial number 86054. See Flayderman 9A-369, only about 20,000 produced, scarcest of the production .45-70 rifles. Metal free of pitting, except on buttplate, with medium-dark patina and some scattered storage rust. Stock very good, shows average use, free of cracks, with some minor chipping in ramrod channel. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
