"Bannerman Breech" training rifle made from Austrian Werndl rifle

Unusual Bannerman military training rifle. Made from an Austrian Werndl rifle, as evidenced by the lock markings. Breech section is marked "BANNERMAN BREECH". 28" "barrel", mostly of wood, with iron muzzle section. Metal parts have fine blue finish mixing with medium patina. Stock is very good, with only a small hairline crack by left of breech, otherwise free of cracks and chips, may have been lightly cleaned. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
