Van Wart Son & Co fancy percussion double with capbox

Van Wart Son & Co, as marked on locks, percussion double barrel shotgun. Long 36" barrels of larger than average bore size, about .80" caliber. Very fancy gun with nice cap box in butt, deer inlay in toe of butt, dog inlay in wrist and nicely engraved inlays below barrel breeches. London marked on barrel rib. Metal parts have medium gray patina overall with minimal scattered pinprick pitting. Stock very good, shows average use with scattered minor marks, has a minor crack by right barrel key and a couple tiny nicks in the lock mortises. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
