John P Lovell, Portland, ME single barrel cartridge shotgun. Serial number 225. 30" barrel, about 12 gauge. Metal parts are smooth with an attractive medium patina. Stock was refinished and badly broken in the wrist, which was repaired solidly. Original hard rubber monogram buttplate. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
