Albany, NY percussion single barrel shotgun. Marked on top of barrel O.H.HERBERT/ALBANY, and on lock WARREN/ALBANY for Warren & Steele, both of which are listed in Sellers' book. 30" part-octagon part-round barrel of 30" and about 8 gauge bore. Barrel and lock have been painted black and show light pitting, stock has been lightly varnished. Stock very good, has nicely added checkering at wrist, missing a small sliver from the forearm edges on both sides, and a small chip in the toe of the butt. Ramrod is too short, and the ramrod rib is a little loose near the stock. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
