single barrel percussion shotgun by Lane & Read, Boston with long 44-1/2" barrel

Lane & Read, Boston, as marked on lock percussion longfowler. Long barrel, about 44-1/2" and of about .72 caliber. Metal parts have an untouched rust patina with some scattered pitting. Missing ramrod. Stock very good, showing average wear, appears free of cracks, with some paint overspray on the left side of the butt, where the gun was apparently next to someone's painting project. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
