Palmer patent bolt action carbine by E.G.Lamson & Co., Windsor, VT. Dated 1865 on lock with Palmer patent information on top of barrel. Early bolt action arm chambered in Spencer caliber with 20" barrel. These were ordered for the Civil War but received too late for issuance, still often found in Civil War collections as a related arm. Metal parts have a light to medium patina overall with good markings. Stock is very good, having been lightly cleaned, and with only a few handling marks. Gives a good presentation overall. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
