Austrian M1854 Lorenz percussion musket. Dated 1860 (860) on lock. Original length barrel bored to about .58 caliber smooth bore. Metal parts are a medium patina, being partly cleaned to a light gray, with some pitting primarily in the barrel breech area. Sling swivels and ramrod are absent, upper band spring is broken off, replacement fixed rear sight similar to original. Stock has a worn appearance with some light added finish, a small crack in the ramrod channel, some minor cracks by the sideplate, and small chips behind barrel tang and above front of lockplate. Hammer cocks and holds, but releases from half cock when the trigger is squeezed. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
