C1820-30 flintlock militia musket. 40" barrel with fancy breech and ELG in oval proof, bore of about .69 caliber. Light patina on brass parts, darker patina on iron parts with slightly granular surfaces. Stock is smooth, nicely checkered in wrist, has two cracks in area opposite the lock and a piece of wood missing from the rear lock mortise. Nice complete gun with sling swivels and original ramrod. Mechanically good except frizzen spring is weak. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
