US M1816 contract musket by Blake, 1828, as marked on lock. Original length barrel, stock shortened to the location of the middle barrel band, which is absent. Gun is overall in untouched condition with rust showing where heavy old paint is chipped off. Stock has a wrist crack that shows movement, some age checking to the butt, and a diagonal crack with sliver on right side of forearm near middle band location. No ramrod. Hammer has spring tension but does not cock properly. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
