M1816 contract M.T.Wickham percussion conversion musket. 42" round barrel. Barrel is proofed at the breech and stock on flat opposite lock. Metal parts are mostly patina surfaces with some pitting in the barrel breech, barrel itself appears to have an applied blue finish. Stock is lightly sanded with a light finish applied with a couple small chips in the lock mortise, a small crack by the rear lock screw, a lateral crack in the bottom of the forearm associated with a small worn-through spot to the ramrod channel and some old worn chips in the ramrod channel. Has small initials "GWF" applied in stock opposite lock. Ramrod and sling swivels are absent. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
