US M1861 Norfolk contract percussion musket, dated 1862 on lock. Original length barrel with rusty 0.58" smooth bore. Overall cleaned pitted metal surfaces with markings still discernible on lock. Bolster screw, rear sight, and ramrod are absent. Sling swivels are present but frozen in place and bent. Stock is heavily worn and finished with varnish, having a wrist crack and a crack below the rear of the lock. Lock is mechanically good. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
