Springfield M1795 Type I musket for restoration. Earliest style lock marking with vertical "SPRINGFIELD" at rear of lock. No dates present. 43-1/8" barrel. Middle barrel band, ramrod, lower sling swivel, 2 band springs, and lock parts are absent. Barrel has been reconverted to flint but vent hole has not been drilled. Upper barrel band has pitting, other parts are mostly a medium patina with a large vise mark on top of the barrel breech. Stock is well worn overall, crack opposite lock, cracks above lock mortise, and left side of stock comb shaved down. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
