Springfield M1864 musket altered to "Quaker gun" training rifle. 1864 dated lock. Good rear sight and triggerguard with sling swivel. 27" wooden "barrel" with original musket breech section. Most likely originally had a metal "muzzle" section that is absent. One original band and one replacement upper band. Metal parts have scattered pitting. Wood is marked up from carrying and use, does not appear to have been cleaned, with inspector cartouche opposite lock. Buttplate is absent, with a large piece from the toe of the butt missing as well. Lock is mechanically good.
