Eli Whitney type M1812 musket, shortened to coach or blanket gun. Barrel shortened to 19" with threaded hole for drum and nipple conversion. Stock shortened to barrel muzzle. Includes stock, lower band, barrel, ramrod, triggerguard, and buttplate. Several screws and sling swivel are absent. Metal parts have a rust patina that is cleaned at barrel breech and muzzle. Stock has sharp edges with two nicely fashioned replaced pieces in the lock mortise. Ramrod channel shows some chipping to the edges. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
