Massive flintlock pistol with Philadelphia trade lock. Marked "SPANG & WALLACE PHILADELPHIA". 7-1/2" octagon barrel of 1-3/16" weight and about .45 caliber bore, about 13" overall. Metal parts are untouched and uncleaned with a light surface rust. Interesting handmade riveted barrel band at muzzle. Stock is simply made without a buttcap or triggerguard, shows expected wear and use overall, having a couple cracks opposite the lock and one in front of the lock, and some small chips in the mortises. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
