Hand built percussion conversion pistol utilizing early parts. 10-5/16" round barrel with long blade front sight, bore of about 0.67", about 17" overall. Lock has a date of 1804, but parts are obviously much earlier. There is an additional marking on the lock that may be Cyrillic lettering. Triggerguard is from an older gun and has a period-restored rear section. Metal parts have a dark patina overall with some light pitting on the iron parts. Hammer spur was broken off long ago. Stock may be of chestnut, stoutly serves its purpose well while obviously not having been made by a career gunsmith. The wood is well-worn, shows some scattered inspect holes, and a small crack by the rear lock screw. Mechanically functions but mainspring is somewhat weak. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
