Remington New Model Army .44 caliber revolver. Serial number 56537. Standard military contract model with faint but visible inspector cartouche on left grip. Metal parts have a mottled light to medium gray patina overall with some scattered light pitting. Wood grips are good, showing some scattered marks and scratches from use, and a couple minuscule corner nicks. Has a slot cut into the butt of each grip to facilitate attaching a lanyard. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
