C1770 flintlock belt pistol, signed on lock Meno in script. 6-5/16" barrel octagon transitioning to round, about .60 caliber bore, about 12-3/4" overall. Metal parts have a light to medium patina, having been lightly cleaned to remove rust, shows some light pitting to barrel. Front sight is worn flat. Stock is nicely carved with floral designs rear of barrel tang and ramrod ferule. Wood shows average wear and use overall with some chipping to the rear of the lock mortise and hairline crack forward of side plate. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
