C1820-40 flintlock Pennsylvania curly maple fullstock smooth "rifle". 35-11/16" octagon barrel of 15/16" width and 0.45" bore. No markings apparent. Reconverted to flintlock with aged reproduction parts and undrilled flash hole after drum and nipple hole was welded. Brass parts were lightly cleaned, rust patina on lock, and added smooth blued finish on barrel. Nicely shaped cutout patchbox. Stock is cleaned, showing attractive grain, average wear and use overall. Has small filled spots in toe of butt and lock mortise, small crack and chip by lock screw, chip in lock mortise, chip/crack at front of lock, a little roughness around the metal forearm wear plate, a crack in each side of the forearm and some slivers missing from the right forearm edges. Patchbox is stuck closed. Lock does not have spring tension or any functionality. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
