Frank Wesson large frame "two trigger" tip up single shot rifle. Serial number 6050. Frame is 3/16" wider at the pivot screw than a similar Second Type, but does not have all the features of the Fourth Type as described in Flayderman 5I-007. Third Type hammer with adjustable firing mechanism for rimfire or centerfire cartridges. Heavier weight 7/8" width octagon barrel of 28" length. Appears to be .32 caliber. Open fixed front and rear sights. Barrel has a thinned plumb blue patina with brown patina on other parts. Buttstock has some fancy grain, shows minor scratches and marks to varnished finish with one wider scratch on lower flat of stock behind triggerguard. There is a little hairline crack on right side of wrist by frame and a wider stress crack in the toe of the butt, caused by the buttplate screw. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
