Harpers Ferry M1803 flintlock rifle. Nicely marked lock with date of 1819, well struck barrel proofs. 36" part octagon, part round barrel. A nicely done reconversion to flintlock, lock and barrel are cleaned bright, with a medium patina on brass parts. Stock has a partially visible inspector cartouche opposite the lock. Wood is fair, having been lightly cleaned, broken and repaired in front of the triggerguard, has a filled sliver opposite the lock, and a small sliver missing on each side of the forearm tip. Hammer cocks and holds fully but does not have half cock. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
